UnusedParameter Rule

The parameter is not being used.

Remarks

The code contains an parameter that is not being used. Although having unused items does not affect code functionality, it can use excess system resources and negatively impact code performance. Additionally, unused items clutter code, making it difficult to read and maintain.

More importantly, unused parameters could indicate deeper logic issues in your application. For instance, the parameter could represent important functionality that has not been implemented.

Resolution

You should review all unused items to ensure that they do not represent important functionality that should be implemented. If the parameter is unnecessary, you should consider removing it to keep your application running optimally and to keep your code readable and manageable.
