What is the Update Page?
This is an update for registered users of Total Access SourceBook version 8.0. This file, when applied to earlier versions of Total Access SourceBook, brings the product’s VBA source code library up to date. The current update is Update 6, dated 9 March, 1999.
What Changes Does the Update File contain?
Several procedures have been updated to fix minor problems. Click here for details. No new procedures have been added in this update.
What If I Own Total Access SourceBook 2.0?
Version 2.0 for Total Access SourceBook is a different product. It contains Access Basic code for Microsoft Access 2.0 users. For the latest update to Total Access SourceBook 2.0, click here.
How Do I Know If I Need This Update File?
It’s easy to check on your Total Access SourceBook version.
- Start Total Access SourceBook 8.0
- From the menu, select Help, About
- In the About box, there is a section titled "Program Information". If this box contains the text "Update Version: 6, Dated 9 March 1999", you do not need to apply this update. Your installation of Total Access SourceBook already has the latest code. If there is no "Update Version" text in this dialog, or the text "Update Version: 1", "Update Version 2", "Update Version 3", "Update Version 4", or "Update Version 5" appears, you should apply this update.
Can I apply this update to other FMS products?
No. This file is specifically designed to update Total Access SourceBook 8.0 to the current version. For information on updates available for other FMS products, click here.
Instructions for applying this update
- Click to download the file SB_AC806.EXE(Approx. 133KB). Save this file in a temporary directory on your computer.
- When the download is complete, extract the update files by running the SB_AC806.EXE program. A dialog appears asking you to specify the output directory for the extracted files. Input the name of a temporary directory to use. You may want to use the same directory where you downloaded the SB_AC805.EXE file. After you have specified the output directory, press the [Unzip] button. If the operation succeeds, a dialog appears telling you that 2 files were extracted. Press the [Close] button to close the program.
- Start the Total Access SourceBook 8.0 Administrator Program. (See the User Guide if you need help starting this program.)
- When the Administrator program menu appears, select the "Apply Update" button. Follow the on screen prompts to apply the update file to your installation of Total Access SourceBook 8.0. See the User Guide for complete information on this process.
You now have the latest version of the Total Access SourceBook 8.0 code.
