How often do you move from one computer to another only to find your bookmarks didn’t move with you? How often do you email or IM a link to a colleague? There has to be a better way, and Microsoft has come up with Microsoft Social Bookmarks to ease some of that pain. With this new free service, you can create an account (or use your existing Microsoft Live address) and manage bookmarks. From there, you add your bookmarks to your Social Bookmarks list, instead of just on your computer. The big benefit comes when you log into a different computer and have access to all of your bookmarks. Then you can share your bookmark list with others, or look at publically accessible bookmark lists from other users who share your interests. Microsoft Social Bookmarks also provides a toolbar button to add to your browser so you can easily save bookmarks to the service instead of just your computer. While the idea of social bookmarking is not new, Microsoft has made it easily accessible and integrated in both the main Microsoft site and MSDN.
Thank you! Thank you! I just finished reading this document, which was part of a link in the recent Buzz newsletter. I have printed it for others to read, especially those skeptical on the powers of Access and its capabilities.
