Database Actions

Total Access Admin can perform actions when certain conditions occur in one of the databases that you are monitoring.

Close and Compact

When all users leave a database, Total Access Admin can compact the database and perform other actions.

Suspect Connections

If a suspect connection is detected (a user disconnects improperly), Total Access Admin can let you know and perform certain actions.

Quit at a Specified Time

Optionally specify a time for Total Access Admin to quit.

Administrative Actions

There are actions you can initiate that impact your databases:

Lockout New Users

Prevent new users from connecting to a database while allowing existing users to remain.

Disconnect Idle Users

If your database application includes the code we provide, you can tell it to close idle users so they aren't left open all night long.

Send Messages

If your database application includes the code we provide, you can send a message that appears for every user.

Command Line Options

In addition to launching Total Access Admin from the Windows Programs menu, you can also launch it from a command line specifying the options you want. Total Access Admin makes it easy to automate the way you monitor your databases.
