FMS Releases Updates for Total Access Analyzer

Version X.7 Available for the Most Popular Microsoft Access Add-in

VIENNA, VA — October 26, 2006 — FMS, Inc. announces the release new versions of Total Access Analyzer, the most popular Access add-in of all time. Many new features and enhancements were added to three new versions of Total Access Analyzer:

  • Version 11.7 for Access 2003
  • Version 10.7 for Access 2002/XP
  • Version 9.7 for Access 2000

Winner of every industry “Best Access Add-in” award since 1994, Total Access Analyzer generates even more documentation and analysis of Access databases to help users and developers create better solutions. Total Access Analyzer examines the entire Access database to document individual objects, cross-reference among objects, extensive code analysis, and error detection. Not only does it determine where each object is used, it also detects unused objects and code. In all, Total Access Analyzer detects over 250 “Best Practices” to flag errors and offer suggestions and performance tips to help Access users and developers create better Access solutions.

Total Access Analyzer’s newest improvements and features include:

  • Documentation of databases that are not compiled
  • Improved documentation of associated labels for controls on forms and reports, hyperlinks, and command bars
  • Table analysis for improving primary keys
  • More suggestions for improving coding and form design
  • Performance tips for speeding up linked tables, queries, forms, and reports
  • Several new reports for relationships, controls and associated labels, and table field lists
  • Blueprint reports that show the layout of form and report designs for Access 2002/2003 database formats
  • Faster documentation with less screen flashing
  • Improved UI for reviewing items and going into design mode, and filtering issues that were found

"We are delighted to release a significant new version of Total Access Analyzer and support our customers using Access 2003, 2002, and 2000," said Luke Chung, President of FMS. "We've added many new features and detect even more Best Practices so people can further improve their Access applications.
