Microsoft reports an Access bug that is resolved with Total Access Memo. Microsoft reports that you cannot see the contents of an embedded Microsoft Rich TextBox ActiveX Control when you Print Preview a report in Access. However:

"FMS, Inc. has a RichText control available that does not result in the behavior described in this article."
