FMS has done a great deal of research on the Year 2000 problem as it relates to Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Visual Basic. We have recently finished a top-down review of Year 2000 compliance in our Total Access and Total VB product lines. All products are certified as Year 2000 compliant with the exception of two older products, for which patches are available.
For the purposes of describing Year 2000 compliance in our Total Access and Total VB products, we use the following definition of Year 2000 compliance:
"Year 2000 compliance signifies that the software will accept four-digit years on date input. Any operations in Total Access and Total VB software that process dates works correctly with four-digit years and correctly span the century boundary without problems."
Two Total Access products have been identified as having Year 2000 issues. These are the older 16-bit versions of Total Access Components 2.x and Total Access Agent 1.x. You can download the updates for these programs free of charge from our web site.
If you have Total Access Agent version 1.x (32-bit) installed, you should contact Sales Department for the latest 32-bit release of this product. The latest 32-bit software available resolves four digit year issues with Total Access Agent.
All other Total Access and Total VB programs are Year 2000 compliant and do not require updates.
